Place paper towels underneath the ink/marker spot, blot with a clean dry rag moistened with rubbing alcohol. When the area is saturated, move the paper towels so they can absorb more of the ink. Keep this up until the ink is gone. Launder as usual but do not dry in the dryer if any ink remains, this will set any stain.
Hairspray will also work because it contains alcohol.
I tried just about everything that was suggested

How to Get Permanent Marker Out Of Linen
I've had very good success using rubbing alcohol. I don't think that will work on wood, though.
To get oil out of fabric, use Dawn full strength, let sit, then rinse with very hot water.
If you haven't washed it or gotten it wet, hair spray or rubbing alcohol should do the trick. Use a child's toothbrush to scrub.
Hi ! This might sound weird , but try Folex carpet cleaner !!!! This gets out all kinds of stains , wine , ink , oil , dust , even dried paint . It is meant for carpets & said it works great on upholstery . I tried it on clothing and it worked so well , I now keep some in a spray bottle in my laundry room . I found it at home depot for around $6 for a large bottle . Good luck !
In furniture refinished forums, they use oxalic acid on ink stains. I would learn more about that process by watching some YT Videos.
