How do I keep my floors clean?

I have engineered hardwood bamboo floors and love them. But every time I turn around I see spots and drips, dirt etc. I use swiffers but I have to mop every single day and it’s getting tiresome and expensive. Most of my experience has been with carpet so maybe I’m not cleaning correctly. Any suggestions?

hi. Have you tried just using vinegar and water? If you have a busy house this might be a matter of putting mats by doors.

I use floor shine (any squirt “wood” shine will do) and squirt a little in front of my swiffer and then swifter.
also I always recommend going on Pinterest to see new ways. Just put in keeping bamboo floors clean. It’s usually very helpful.

If the drips are always in the same area, maybe a small mat or rug could catch them. At least you wouldn't track them around as much. You could try sweeping with a broom when it's just dirt, to save on swiffer pads. Spot clean with a paper towel. Put good quality welcome mats between the outside world and your floors. You might be able to make mopping a weekly or twice-weekly task.
