I would shampoo the chair. You may have to pre treat to get any stain out. Most steamers have upholstery attachments. Also, there are smaller steamers for upholstery.Helpful Reply -

Is it under a cleaning warranty? If so check the instructions or go on line to see if there is a booklet. Be careful you could make it worse by adding more water. When DH was single, he tried to clean a small water spot on a new cream-coloured couch, and made it so huge he could never remove it. Sometimes the stain comes from the filling underneath.Check the label first to find the cleaning code and go from there.http://www.styluscontract.com/clean_codes.phphttp://www.saveonfabrics.com/pdfs/Cleaning_Codes.pdfHelpful Reply -

What color was the original chair? With water, there should not a stain, or area where the WATER was at. You may have to clean with spot remover, then use some cleaner on it, to be sure that the area, like the seat was all cleaned, and then the area would not show so precisely. J.Helpful Reply -
