Homemade Help for Dry Wood With Water Spots

by Bev @ The Make Your Own Zone

This little wooden folding table has been hanging around our house for many years and it was really starting to show some wear and tear. The wood was dry and there were several white water rings and spots too. We had used it outdoors for different purposes over the years but now I wanted to use it indoors in my blogging office. It was time to give my little table some TLC!
To revive the wood I used a common household item. Mayonnaise! I used just straight mayonnaise in some places, and used a favorite mixture of mine made from mayonnaise, olive oil, and lemon juice on some of the other areas.
I was very happy with my final results. You could still faintly see some of the spots but the wood looked MUCH better than before and was definitely revived.
Now that it looks so greatly improved, I'm happy to use it indoors again instead of hiding our little table away in the shed. So often the simple things like mayo, olive oil, and lemon juice work the best. You can get all the details on my blog using the link below.
