This post came out of a discussion on Hometalk! Rubbing alcohol is great for cleaning permanent marker off of some things, but there are other things that you should avoid using it on and some that it just won't work on at all! Necessary information if you have Sharpie lovers in your house!

I used hair spray on my upholstered chair and it worked.

I use water and hairspray and sharpie comes right off
