I have had this problem for years, especially in the shower door track. Once I got the build-up off the doors with vinegar/soda recipe, I keep a good squeegee in the shower and use it after each use. Door tracks I cut strips of paper towels soaked in vinegar, laid them down the tracks and let them sit 1 hr or so. Scrubbing was required for my years of build-up, but was richly rewarded.
