Getting glue off of glass once I've peeled the label off

I'm wanting to re-use the Yankee Candle jars, and I've peeled the labels off, but the glue is very hard to remove. Help! I hate to throw the jars away. They will make excellent jars for candies, etc.

Soak it in hot water and Dawn. It may take a little scrubbing but it will come off! ;)

With decades of fighting to get glue off...get some "Goo Gone" and be done with it! It takes only a dab or two and some rubbing with a paper towel! One bottle will last for ages!

Another user of Goo Gone here! I sometimes find little bottles of it in the dollar store...Dollar Tree, I think. Even a small bottle lasts a long, long time so I hate forking over the money for the large size bottle the other stores carry.

I have found if you use cooking oil spray on the glue and let it sit a few minutes it will wipe right off with warm water and you don't have the smell of the other products.

Like most of the others here I use Goo Gone. It is great for so many things, black heel marks on flooring to taking glue off of glass.

I too have used Goo Gone with success. Though I have had trouble with the kind of glue that has a dried on consistency. On these, I use a high acetone nail polish remover. I like the cheaper ones found at the dollar store as they have a higher acetone content. Just be careful to not get it on any painted or fabric items.
