After sweeping I use a big mop and just spray down a mixture of half white vinegar and half water with whatever essential oils I want the house to smell like. It leaves my hardwood floors just gleaming!
thank you for the tip. I have essential orange oil. I will be using this method today.I use the brand, Now essential orange oils, and it does leave my home smelling so nice.
We have had hardwood floors in our 7 different homes and have used a lot of HW floor products over the years. We stopped the steam mop when it started blistering off the finish at the seams on a new traditional oak hw floor installation.
The past two years we have been using the BONA mop and solution and we're very pleased with the results.
I used a really good hardwood flooring cleaner but wanted more shine. Now I use my Bona floor machine with Mop and Glo wood floor cleaner. It cleans well and they are beautiful and shine so nicely. I never use water.
