To empty the tank..turn off water behind toilet below.. C.l.r. makes kitchen bathroom spray. Removes icky. Flush once after water is off. Tank should be empty, . if you want you could use baking soda to scrub off residue. Yellow bottle is the c.l.r. at home depot or Walgreen. Wear gloves and have little scrub brush handy. -

Use Turbo Clean for toilet tanks located at the "as seen on TV" counter in Walmart. Just follow directions on box. No scrubbing! -

Use bleach. Add it to the water in the toilet bowl and soak overnight. -
