We live in the woods and every year we have a professional come and spray with a special insect liquid that does not impact the environment. Our house is approximately 2,100 square feet and the cost was in the $375 area. It usually lasts about 4-5 months. We live in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan so snow and cold take over the rest of the year. Hope this helps.Helpful Reply -

Many types of spiders weave a new web every day, abandoning the older one. Other types of spiders make new webs less frequently, but again they typically abandon the older one. Except, of course, for the kinds of spiders who eat their prior webs, because they are a good source of protein. In heavily used areas, air currents blow old spiderwebs around, and generally they break into fragments and fall to the floor, where they become part of the dust. But in areas where there is little traffic, or moving air currents, the web fragments can catch on something, and because they are coated with an adhesive, they stick; and hang there, and collect dust. They are harmless, albeit offensive to the eye. Just brush them away with a broom, and your home will look fine again.I try not to kill spiders because they eat the stuff I REALLY don't want in my home (bugs!).Helpful Reply -
