You mean underneath where the water comes out to fill the toilet? Or do you mean under the seat flap?

  Under the seat flap.......I have used cleansers, toothpaste, etc. some
  people just never check for "sprinkles"and I do not mean ice-cream!!!!

i purchase pummus stones at pool stores. They remove just about everything in a toilet. They don't damage the finish either.
