OMG we had the same problem. We knew we wanted to completely replace the floor at some point, but in the meantime, I simply used Clorox, deleted with just a little with water, in a bucket, and wearing rubber gloves, and an open window, get down on your hands and knees, and using a small scrub brush, just start using the old fashioned elbow grease. I can't remember, but i might have added some detergent to the water. So, when we did finally replace the tiles, we had our remodeler use epoxy instead of grout. What a difference. Hope it works for you.

From the time you put it on when it is soft try using a scraper

It’s been years since I have scrubbed my floor grout on my hands and knees. I now use a foamy spray bathroom cleaner. Spray it on, leave it there overnight, then go back the next day and rinse it well. Some spots may need a second treatment but most of it will be sparkling clean. Easy!
