How to get rust off of cast iron?

I have a cast iron bacon press that is all rusted. What is the best way to remove the rust? Thank you

I tried baking soda in mine and scrapped it with a non abrasive scrubber it took most of it out then I sprayed a little spray oil in it and used a clean cloth and wiped it out real good. Now every time I use it I spray it with oil. Works fine

WD40, let soak, use a fine steel wool to remove rust. Recoat and wipe off.

You can try table salt and a little water then let it soak then scrub it with a sponge and rinse and repeat it until your finished. Just something to try, Salt is an abrasive.
