Joyce, what kind of glue? Several months ago my handy son-in-love was trying to fix a part of my food processor which had a crack & spilled some quick-drying super-type glue on my granite cabinet-top & tried to wipe it up spreading it to a much larger space - 3" X 5" or maybe larger - (no protection under project). I'd tried several things to no avail at different times. I bought Weiman's Granite & Stone Daily Cleaner & Polish & tried it. Several uses later the glue mess is gone & the granite is clean & shiny & no sign of the former damage. -

If solvents don't work, I would try using a VERY sharp X-acto knife and use tiny little scrapes until it is loose. Be very careful. -

Couldn't you try ice then the knife, if its cold wouldn't it be easier to remove? ..just saying.
