Then you should not use the stick in cleane. I'm wondering if you are meaning several times a day you have to clean or what you think is an excessive amount of cleaning. There are chlorine tablets to drop in the tank, made by Clorox and others that will extend clean but you still have to brush occasionally. Then there could be a lot of sediment and film in your tank. Vinegar and a brush work wonders there. If you have untreated hard water your cleaning intervals will be reduced too. Make of that what you will. There is no law that says you have to keep the toilet bowl clean.

    Is there a question?

My dog (Lab) drank out of mine so no self cleaners. Deep cleaned once a week and whomever did the dirty deed had to clean it right then. Flushing keeps the water fresh. People may gross out but it's as good if not better than keeping a fresh bowl of water out for them changing it out 5 times or more a day.

You can toss in a denture cleaning tablet. Let it sit and fizz overnight if possible.

CLR is a chemical that dissolves calcium, lime and rust hence CLR. Let it stay for a few hours, then scrub (brush). It's available almost anywhere.
