How can I turn my greying Christmas tree white again?

My white 250.00 Christmas tree turned grey, more on one side than the other. It is pre lit. We kept it above our garage in the same box it came in. Any ideas of how I can whiten it. And why did this happen? Thanks so much!lisa

Lisa....Not so sure but maybe you could with spray snow? Not really sure but hate that it has happened.

Typically they discolor just from the heat.
I think you are right. I got a cheap one from Walmart. I ‘ll see how this one does. Thanks for your reply.
