How do I keep the ink on white valentines cups?

I made some decorated white cups that i got from dollar tree. When I washed them in dishwasher the permanent ink used was washed off. I would like to try again but do not want to give a gift only to have ink wash off the first time it is washed.Thank youKim

It's not dishwasher safe. Not much is permanent on plastic. Any paint will be damaged in dishwasher.

i hope this will work for you.
you will need to use a sharpie and then bake the cup in the oven. We did this with coffee mugs.
