How can I restore color to my kitchen sink?

This is what happened to my kitchen sink when my daughter accidentally spilled lime-away in it. What can I do, please, to restore its color. Thank you.

Try Scratch B Gone, or car polish (not car wax), many clean cotton cloths, and elbow grease. It will take some time on your
daughter's part, but it should improve the look. Contact the sink manufacturer to see if it's worth repairing, if these methods don't work. There is a warning on the label of Lime Away, to keep it far from any stainless steel item.

There is a trick to de-tarnish silver using aluminium foil. It is not very good for silverplate, but it makes SS shine. I would close the drain, spead HD Al foil on the bottom, weight it with dishes then pour equal amounts of white vinegar and boiling water into the sink to cover the foil. Give it about 15 minutes to see what you get. If it doesn't improve it then try the scrubbing suggestings.

    1) Things You Will Need
    • 1/2 cup of baking soda
    • 2 tablespoons of Castile soap
    • 15 drops of lemon essential oil
    • Scrub sponge
    • Magic eraser sponge

    2) Mix baking soda, Castile soap and essential oils in a small bowl.
    3) Get sponge in your mix and dab it in the sink, begin scrubbing
    4) Let it soak for a while, then toughly clean with standard soap and water

  • You might try using a Magic Eraser... they seem to work wonders on everything!

Try baking soda and a little water. Scrub. Bar Keepers Friend would be next choice. Scrub. Third choice would polishing compound from an auto pats store.

I would use some Bar Keeper's Friend, it shines up stainless sinks real well.
