I use my power washer! It only takes a few minutes and you don't have to use chemicals.

I use a scrub brush, with some water, and mine comes clean. Do NOT use anything that has a scent, for the birds will not use this again. If you must, you can use a sos pad, or a sponge that has the scrub pad on the other side of the yellow sponge. This will help as well. We must keep this cleaning up, thru the summer, for the birds love and favor clean water. Even thru the storms, the water will change color. They will be so grateful, enjoy, and the birds will sing more and more, just for their thanking you. Best wishes, J.

You can get these at any grocery store, or dollar store., there is about 8 sponges to a package. Best wishes, J.
