Simple Home Made Gel Candles

An easy and quick way to make stunning gel candles at home.
A quick and easy guide to make gel candles at home. A perfect project for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
What do we need?
- Candle gel
- Small glass jars or tin containers
- Pot + inner pot
- Spoon
- Scissors
- Chopsticks
- Candle Wick
- Glitters (optional)
Step One:
Boil some water in an old pot. Once the water is boiling, place the inner pot on top of your cooking pot and let the steam from the boiling water heat it up.
Step Two:
While you are waiting for your water to boil and inner pot to warm, decide how you wish to decorate your candles by putting little stones, glitters, or other sorts of decoration into the jars. At this point, you also insert the candle wicks already so the jars are all done to be filled up with the gel once it's boiling.

Step Three:
Now that the water is boiling, lower the heat and throw your candle gel into the inner pot to let it melt.
Step Four:
After a couple of minutes, the candle gel should have melted, turning it liquid. At this point, take the inner pot of the stove (Be careful as it may be hot!) and carefully pour the candle gel into the glass jars or candle tins.
Step Five:
Once you have filled the jars with candle gel, use a pair of chopsticks to keep the candle wick in place. Let your candles dry for at least an hour or two.
Step Six:
After the candle gel has cooled down, carefully cut the wick at the right length.
Step Seven:
Enjoy your home made gel candles!
