15 Minutes to Shabby Valentine Decor

by My Husband Has Too Many Hobbies

Are you like me? Valentine's Day quickly approaching and not a single Valentine decoration to be seen? That was me yesterday. I needed something quick, easy and something I could make using what I had in my craft box.
Using a piece of scrap paper, I cut out a quick heart template and traced it onto an 8x10 canvas board.
I filled the heart with Elmer's glue.
I cut pieces of twine to fill in the heart shape.
To get a shabby vibe going, I lightly painted on a coat of chalk paint and dabbed some off using a paper towel.
I added a frame and within 15 minutes, I had Valentine's Day decor!
Hang it or display it like I did on my mantel. Fast, oh so easy, and totally inexpensive! And bonus . . . cute enough to leave up anytime.
Enjoyed the project?
