Chalk Painted Easter Egg Flower Vases

This was a super easy project to make, but I think these Chalk Painted Easter Egg Flower Vases will be a pretty addition to my breakfast nook Easter tablescape. I’m using peach and copper for the main colors on that table and these will fit in perfectly at each place setting.

It’s always great when you have most of the items on hand to make a craft. I purchased the flowers and styrofoam square at the Dollar Tree recently. The paint, eggs, and ribbon were all in my craft stash.

I separated the eggs and painted each piece using Craft Smart Premium Chalky Paint in Deep Peach. To allow them to dry without adhering to a surface, I pushed skewers into a piece of styrofoam and hung each egg piece on top. It took two coats for full coverage.

Using wire cutters, I clipped the flowers leaving just a little bit of the stem. I cut four small pieces from the styrofoam block using a box cutter.

To keep the flower from moving around, I glued the styrofoam to the inside of the large section of the egg.

The two egg pieces are hot glued together with the larger one on top.

The flower stem is poked into the styrofoam.

To cover the hot glue I added a sheer piece of ribbon to each egg and tied it off into a simple bow.

An easy, inexpensive, and quick to make craft that turns out the way I hoped it would is always a win to me!

Thanks so much for sharing! I was invited to Easter Dinner and was told I need not bring any food.
So I made 18 of these little beauties. I was in a bit of a rush so I bought eggs that had swirls and polka dots on them, and I did not paint them. They were less elegant than yours, but they were still cute and added extra colors to the table The hostess put one with each place setting. Guests had a lovely take home gift. Yes I know I’m posting before Easter. Sometimes folks celebrate a bit early to accommodate family schedules.

Great idea sweetie.I think your Easter project was great crafting with a twist of an original idea that all can join in and it gave me an idea for next Easter.i give u a 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ U just gave me an idea that I could use chalk paint on other objects around the house for Mother’s Day.instead of eggs I could use spare candles in small plant pots.Thank You for sharing your creativity.
