How to Make DIY Tiny Love Notes

Step 1: Cut out small love notes

I used soft pink fleece for my hanging small love note diy decor. But you can use any color fleece or felt that will work with your Valentine’s Day decorations or tablescape theme.

Measure and cut 2″ wide strips from your fabric.

Then cut those strips into 2.5″ pieces. You will have a 2″ x 2.5″ rectangle.

Next, fold the rectangle lengthwise (it will be 1″ x 2.5″).

On the open end, approximately 1/2″ down, cut at an angle to the point of the fold. This will be the flap for your tiny love note.

Step 2: Add twine to hang your small love note diy decor

First, measure and cut 10″ lengths of twine.

Tie a knot at the top of the twine.

Then place the middle of the twine just below the flap of your small love note.

Now, add glue around the edges of the flap and fold over the twine. This does two things: it holds the twine in place and it forms the shape of your hanging diy small love note decor.

Step 3: Add a heart to your tiny love note

Cut small hearts out of red cardstock. Standard copy paper is too light weight.

Glue the small heart over the point of your small love note flap.

That’s it!
