Easy
Repurpose a ceiling fan blade into a Halloween mummy to hang on your front door.
Supplies
Gather your supplies: fan blade, dollar store/Walmart spooky eye window clings, grey paint (or black, brown, & white paint mixed), 3" wide white fabric strips or gauze
Make grey paint
If you don't have grey paint, mix brown, black, & white paint together to get a dark grey paint.
Paint the blade with grey paint
Paint the fan blade with a coat of grey paint - just enough to cover the color of the blade.
Add eyes & Wrap blade with strips or gauze
Glue on a pair eyes and start wrapping the fabric strips or gauze from the bottom, tacking the strips down on the back side with glue every so often. I did a single layer of strips, but you can do a double layer if you like.
Adjust a strip around the eyes as you like and continue wrapping to the top. I plan on using the top hole for hanging or it can lean against a wall on a mantle.
Dry brush paint on for a "dirty" look
Now it's time to make him "dirty" You can use the black or brown paint to very lightly dry brush some "dirt" on your mummy.
Finished mummy
Here's the finished Fan Blade Mummy. If you want to make a "female" mummy, add a hair bow or a costume necklace.
