How can I use battery-lit pumpkins to decorate for Halloween?

How can I use these to decorate? They each have their own turn on off switch? I have about ten of these?
Oh so sweet. I would be tempted to paint them white and pepper them around the house, on a mantle, around the house and in a centerpiece, for an elegant unified look.
Line them up on a window sill!
