Simple Cute Easy Easter Sign

This is the easiest Easter sign you will ever do. I promise you, even if you are not the craftiest person, you can do this. This requires no power tools, and we are using wood. Y’all I am so excited to share this with you, I am smiling from ear to ear.
Now before we get started, let me give you the background behind the design. The inspiration for this Easter sign was a Big Lots email lol. Yes! I was checking my email and I saw it in an email blast, and I was like “aww this is cute.” I clicked on it like anyone would to check the price. It was $14 and I just knew that I was not going to buy it. So, I screenshot it and thought of a way to dupe this for a much lesser cost. This project overall taken that you already have a hot glue gun and scissors will cost $5 dollars if not $7.25.
Now all the materials are from the Dollar (Twenty-Five) Tree (except the paint and letters)
Materials
Crafters Square wood planks 6pk rectangular (7.1x2.8 in)
Craft sticks
Craft smart golden-brown paint
Bunny sign
Stencil (Cricut)
Sponge brush
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Cotton ball
To start you are going to paint the wood planks. I only did one coat of paint; I felt the wood absorbed the color well enough to do only one. After the planks dry, hot glue them together doing a up and down pattern. I glued them on the longer side (the length) of the rectangle.
For more support I flipped it over and hot glued some craft sticks to the back horizontally.
Now time for the letters EASTER. I did make the letters with my Cricut machine. I made them 2x5 to fit on the planks. Put those on like you would stickers in the center, and they stick pretty good on the planks even with the paint. If you do not have a Cricut machine you can buy poster stickers from the Dollar Tree, they have many sizes.
Next cut the ears off your bunny sign. It is plastic (it’s fantastic) so it is easy to cut. You can even bend it back and forth to get off as well.
Glue your ears to the back of your planks behind whatever letter you like (I choose the middle). Make sure you glue them a quarter of the way down at a slant with the conners touching. Then take a cotton ball, fluff it out a little and glue it on the front at the bottom of the plank under your letter. Making sure it is in the center of the ears.
Then voila you have your very own simple cute easy Easter sign. Please comment below if you try this craft, I would love to see it.
