Learn how to use essential oils to naturally scent your home. This can be used all year, but I made them for Valentine's Day with clear fillable heart shaped ornaments.
This is a very easy DIY project. It can be used as a decoration or as an inexpensive gift.

I used a blend of essential oils for Valentine's Day. Good oils to use for Valentine's Day include rose, geranium, sandalwood, ylang ylang, clary sage, lavender, or patchouli.

You'll need:

Place your potpourri in a bowl. I only used the larger pieces and skipped the small ones.
Add essential oils until you get the desired scent. Since it's not touching your skin, you don't have to worry about using too much. Just be careful that they won't be too overpowering with the scent.
Overfill on half of the heart container. Then put the other half on top.
Repeat to fill up the containers.
Attach a ribbon and hang and enjoy your air freshener!

There aren't any exact measurements for this craft. If you're not sure how much potpourri you need, place it in the hearts first and and then dump it in the bowl to add the oils.

I would avoid adding the oils to the potpourri in the container because you'll need to stir it well so it doesn't melt the plastic.
