I love to save my bottles for fun little decor items, and this time it is some fun potion bottles for Halloween. I love the idea of being able to transform something simple into something amazing, like a barbecue bottle into a magical witches potion bottle.
Start off with a empty bottle of your choice, mine was a BBQ bottle. I then soaked it is water and soap for a bit to get the label off, then used Goo Gone to clean it all up.
I then used a web stencil and etching creme to etch the outside of the bottle. I also added n grey acrylic paint to the inside of the bottle to coat it grey.
I added in extra swirls and bling to the outside of the bottle to give it that glam look.
Last step is to place a key on the front of the bottle.
I loved adding on all the little gems and metals pieces to bring the look together, like a potion bottle that is ready to be sent into a witches brew cupboard. Almost like it should be a bottle in a potions class in Hogwarts!
