Plastic Soda Bottle Heart

by Nancy at Craft Your Happiness

It’s two halves of one heart made from plastic soda bottles and it’s the perfect gift for a couple. NOTE: Many more photos are on our site post linked several times below!
SUPPLIES
Wrap the pattern as it explains around each bottle and mark them.
This shows both bottles marked.
VERY CAREFULLY cut as straight as you can along each marked line.
Take two piece of stiff posterboard that will cover the bottom of each bottle.
Apply a thin line of thick, strong glue along the edge of your bottle where it was cut.
Press it down easily, so as not to stretch out the bottle, onto the cardboard and let it dry. Do the same for the other bottle.
Trim off the cardboard around the bottle once the glue has dried.
Spray paint your lids red.
Fill your bottles with candy of choice.
We suggest laying the bottles together in a container so they remain separate, especially if you are giving them to a couple.
