Repurposed Snow Globe

A few months ago I replaced the light fixture in my bathroom and saved the seeded glass shades. I really liked the look of them and knew at some point I'd figure out something to use them for. I was getting ready to put them in storage when it hit me how much the glass gave the illusion of snow and that's when I thought that this would make a pretty snow globe.
Here is the finished snow globe and the entire project took less than 15 minutes to make.
I started with the plain glass shade and didn't need to do anything with it.
I added some little vintage-type Christmas items from my craft stash that I thought would look pretty in my finished snow globe.
I hot glued everything to my base centering it carefully to be sure that it wouldn't cover more area than the base of the light shade.
Once everything was together I added some faux snow, topped the light fixture with a metal knob and was almost done.
