How to Make Marbled Ornaments Using Nail Polish (Video Tutorial)

Hi there, I'm Cindy. I blog at DIY Beautify where I love to share step by step craft tutorials and home decor inspiration!
Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year and I love making new ornaments every year. These marbled ornaments are incredibly fast and inexpensive to make, and they look fantastic! You can be creative with the colors and make them match your Christmas tree decor!
I would love to have you follow me at my blog and on YouTube. I am constantly churning out new ideas and can't wait to share them with you!
Watch this video to see the entire process.
Work in a well ventilated area (outside if possible) because nail polish is stinky stuff!
It's important to have everything ready to go because this project goes really fast!
Watch the video and then see the step by step process below.
I used a wire coat hanger with an old towel underneath as a drying rack. You can see part of it on the bottom right of this picture. As soon as I finished an ornament, I hung it on the wire hanger to dry.
Leave the hangers on the tops of the ornaments as this makes it easier to swoosh your ornament through the nail polish.
It couldn't be easier to make these beautiful ornaments! Add several drops of nail polish to water and immediately swirl your ornament through the polish, picking it all up.
You will need to do this for every ornament you make. It goes quickly and you'll have several ornaments made in just a few minutes!
Try different colors for a unique effect!
The ornaments will be dripping wet, which is why I used a towel under the drying rack to soak up any water and save my wood floors!
I hope you have fun with this Christmas project!
