Not Your Granny's Hankie! Vintage Christmas Ornament

Okay…maybe they are, but here’s a fun, fresh way to use them with your holiday decor! Happy Holidays, Hometalkers! Today I’m sharing the perfect tree ornament for vintage decor lovers. Best of all, you can showcase your vintage hankies without cutting, sewing, or gluing them…
Yep, you can preserve your cherished vintage hankies and adorn your tree with them. This is also a great project for a hankie that has seen better days--simply arrange it to display its best side. Need some hankies? Look here!
Start with large clear ornaments (acrylic or glass.) Carefully remove the top. Find clear ornaments here!
TIP: Bigger is better! Ornaments smaller than 3" do not work well because the hankie fits too snugly, preventing the design from displaying prettily.
Place the unfolded hankie over the ornament and use a long, narrow stick to gently position the hankie inside. I used a lollipop stick but a chopstick will work too.
Finally, replace the ornament top and use ribbon to create a loop hanger. Voila--that's all there is to it!
Use them to decorate your Christmas tree, tuck a few in a gift basket, or embellish a package--the possibilities are endless!

Another idea would be to use a pretty fabric if you don’t have hankies.
