On occasion my Fiancé brings me stuff he finds, most people might think is junk, I see them as DIYs treasures. One day he brought me these plastic hearts with mints, I saw lots of possibilities, so I decided to make ornaments.
First I started by gluing the twine from the middle of the heart. Holding tightly I continuesly wrapped around completely the right half of the heart, using the glue gun constantly.
Before I wrapped the other half, I made two small holes on the flap ( upper right hand corner) and inserted a loop to hang the ornament. I heated my mini tiny screwdriver to melt the plastic and make the holes.
Lastly I finished by wrapping the other half of the heart. The heart is completely covered in twine. I think it looks nice but it could use some decor.
Now for my favorite part, the decorating. I used some ribbon and some stones. I made two different ones. There you have it, a Rustic heart ornament. Hope you like them.
