Birthday Banner

If you're planning a birthday party, you want to go all out with making the birthday boy or girl feel special. And sure, you can buy birthday party decorations at the store to do that, but that's a little generic and not that special. What you should do is take your time and craft as many projects as you can.

One of our favorites is this birthday banner. It uses photos of the birthday boy or girl to make it, so it's completely personalized. You can use older photos or newer photos, it doesn't matter. What matters is that the person of honor loves it.

Print out photos and cut them so only the face and head remain.

Cut out a triangle from scrapbook paper. This will be your hat. Add letters to spell out the birthday boy or girl's name. You can add numbers for their age as well. Just remember, if you do numbers and letters, you'll also want a blank one in between to be a space. So don't forget to get as many photos as you need for all that.

Add some fun embellishments (tissue paper, bows, flowers) to the hats to make them more fun.

Hang the photos along a piece of tulle using clothespins. Display the banner wherever everyone will be able to see it.
