I love to decorate for Halloween and make a few new things each year to add to my collection of Halloween Decor. This year I added in some creepy skeleton wine glasses.
I started with some wine/champagne glasses and some skeleton tongs both from the dollar store
We used the band saw to cut the hands off of the tongs then they got a coat of flat black primer spray paint.
I masked off the top of the glasses and used frosted glass spray paint on the top part of the glass.
Then I started the dry brushing process on the hands and the glass stems until I liked the way it looked.
For the dry brushing I used cream acrylic and silver acrylic paint and add small amounts at a time. Then I used E6000 to glue the hands to the glasses! I propped it up against the plastic lid to a container so it would roll around while it was drying and curing.
This is how they turned out. I love them. They are creepy and fun. I am not sure how "washing" safe they are. Probably a light hand wash focusing on the inside of the glass would be best and would probably be okay. I am using them strictly for decor.
I have made a couple of Halloween things this year and am still working on a few others. If you like this project you will probably love my blog.
