Why I Love Making These Crafts Seasonally
Truthfully, I enjoy coming up with new wreaths seasonally. I have been crafting since I can remember, and wreaths have always been a fun craft for me!
I think, for the most part, coming up with new ways to create a new wreath is fun to do and economical too. Of course, I see many of these on Pinterest and think about how I can make one of these projects to fit my style and home. I really believe this is half the fun of coming up with these easy wreaths.
Sharing new ideas is also great fun to share with you, my readers and followers of Cloches & Lavender. I often hope to inspire you every season to try a new project idea.
Let’s Begin Creating Our Simple Project
I usually begin any new wreath by gathering my supplies. After my supplies have been gathered, start by plugging in the glue gun to heat up at a low temperature. Here I suggest low temperature because when working with moss glue can seep through. The low temperature will avoid burns.
Now when I begin making this craft project, I separate pieces of the moss and begin filling in my grapevine form. Reindeer moss is easy to work with because it doesn’t separate too much. This is especially helpful when gluing this around the wreath.
My goal for this project is to have the beauty of the thicker grapevine branches on the form be noticeable. These add tones of texture and character to this spring wreath. I do this simply by using the tip of my finger and wedging in between branches. This is the spot where not much glue is needed too!
Continue gluing the moss to fill in the wreath.
After the wreath is filled in with the moss and you are happy it’s time to add the dried lavender buds.
Adding Dried Lavender to the 30 Minute Spring Wreath
Now when doing this I did add spray adhesive to the moss on this spring wreath in my craft room. I did this inside because it’s still cold in NJ. I advise opening a window when doing this step or doing this outside if warm enough.
After spraying the greenery simply, sprinkle the lavender buds. I let this dry for five minutes.
I will share other links at the end of this post for the rest of the products needed for this easy spring wreath.
Adding a Nest is Optional
Adding the next is completely optional. However, I adore the added rustic look it adds to this craft project. Or you can find these inexpensively at any craft store.
In keeping with the lavender for this spring wreath, I did add dried lavender buds to the center of the wreath. I added just a tad of spray adhesive and sprinkled dried buds inside. Make sure to wear gloves for this process. It’s very sticky!
Here, I did add bits of moss for a realistic look.
I also did add a few short lavender stems I had in my craft room too. This I did by adding spray adhesive to the top of the nest as well as the stems. This keeps them very stable. Allow this to dry for five minutes so it isn’t sticky when hanging.
To attach the nest to the wreath using two U-shaped florists pins through the center of the nest. A needle and green thread will do the trick too!
Lastly, hang with a ribbon of your choice inside the home. If you are not going to add a nest, this spring wreath will make a pretty centerpiece for your Easter or Mother’s Day table or any gathering during the warmer months!
I hope you enjoyed learning how to make an easy 30-minute spring wreath! Are you getting your home ready for spring yet?
