Fall Tablescape Wine Dinner

Hey y'all...Have we mentioned to you how excited we are at the arrival of Fall? It's our favorite season for many reasons - the main one being that this kicks off our season of entertaining family and friends.
We've teamed up with 31 blogging friends to bring you everything related to Fall decor - mantels, tablescapes, wreaths and crafts.
Today it's all about tablescapes. This year I was inspired to create a wine dinner. I crafted individual place cards from miniature clay pots and succulents - you can see how I made them on the blog. I love this vintage purple glassware that we used for Jenn's wedding last Fall.
The smaller wooden teak bowls were a wedding gift from decades ago...
When I'm setting the table I always try to use what I already have on hand. The white dinner plates were purchased a couple of years ago from the Dollar tree. The driftwood chargers were also a previous purchase.

New purchases were the luncheon plates - on clearance at Target. I really loved how they look like hammered metal...and at $2 a piece I couldn't pass them up! The grainsack napkins and runner were purchased on clearance from World Market.
The main centerpiece is a treasured antique dough bowl. I wanted my party to be casual - not stuffy - so, I filled the bowl with wine corks and placed pillar candles inside. Instead of flowers I bought artichokes because they were on sale and because they were the perfect color.

The greenery was clipped from my front yard shrubbery. Here's where I really had some fun. I created this Wine List board (details on the blog) and a printable so our guests can make a selection...
This 1920's bottle is my personal favorite...
We hope you like our Fall table!

Love the colors, artichokes, and corks. I too love using what I have on hand to decorate the table - candles, curios, greenery from outdoors, repurposing another season's decor. Thanks for the impetus to start scrounging around my house and see what I can put together this year.

It must be a Georgia thing - I lived in Atlanta for 16+years before moving farther South. Will be working on my tablescapes soon!
