Recycled Jar Snow Globes

Start saving those spaghetti sauce, salsa and small spice jars, they make perfect snow globes for winter and Christmas.
I've always loved snow globes and it's so easy to make your own out of things you probably have at home.
Here are the basic supplies: Jars, white spray paint, faux snow (the spray on kind) and vinyl. If you don't have any vinyl handy, you could also use contact paper.
Step 1: Make sure your jars are free of all labels, clean and dry.
Step 2: Trace oval shapes on the backside of the vinyl or contact paper and cut out. Place vinyl on jars.
Step 3: Spray paint the jars and lids white.
Step 4: Next add a coat of faux snow.
Step 5: Apply a coat of Mod Podge on the lids and sprinkle with white glitter.
Step 6: Remove the vinyl and fill jars with little figures, trees and faux snow.
The possibilities are endless!

Have a question about this project?
Love these snow globes! Could you add "snow" to the inside to make it truly a snow globe?!
So these are not the real snow globes as I remember as a child. Those you would have liquid in and could shake the fake snow/glitter and it would look real. I know you can make by sealing the lids on, does anyone have instructions for those. They were a part of my childhood an would love to make one again! These are very pretty though.
