Upcycle an Old Screen...with Doilies!
I found this vintage screen at our local ReStore, and I was instantly drawn to the design and the color. I reused it to create a backdrop for our mantel.
The color of the screen was perfect for fall, so I didn't change a thing about it, except giving it a nice cleaning.
I used a needle and tread to tie each doily onto the frame, in about six to eight spots per doily.
I think this could be use in a lot of different ways or in different places of the home, but for not it's the perfect addition to my fall mantel. For more repurposed and upcycled projects, come on over to my blog!
