Winter Forest Centerpiece
As I was putting away all my Christmas decor last month, I kept out some of the bottle brush and other trees from my Christmas village collection to make this winter forest centrepiece.
I was able to pull this together with things I had in my stash, so it cost me nothing to make.

These trees are from my miniature Christmas village collection.
Other supplies you might want to include are some forest animals. Some of these are from the Dollar Tree fairy garden collections and the moose I found at Dollarama one Christmas. A hint of civilization is found in the form of a bridge and a man walking home carrying some firewood, from my Christmas miniatures.
Not shown:
- faux snow
- birch pieces to stand in for tree stumps
If you don't have any animals available, the toy section at your local dollar store may have some of the appropriate type and size.
Arrange the trees where you want them.
Add in some tree "stumps."
Place your forest critters in likely spots. I perched the rabbit on a tree stump, perhaps on the lookout for predators in his surroundings.
The deer rests in the shelter of some evergreens.
A moose surveys his domain.
And a man crosses the bridge carrying an armload of firewood to keep himself and his family warm.
The tray I made is long and narrow, giving a sort of cross section of a forest, but you can arrange your miniatures in any way you please.
