Winter Forest Globe

I saw something similar to this in a high end store and of course I had to create a dupe!! I’m so happy with how it turned out. I may even make a couple more to have a trio😊.

My inspiration pics are at the end of this post.

Pictures really don’t do it justice. There’s such a magical feel about this globe that just doesn’t translate in the pics.

I found these candy jars in Dollar General and I knew they would be perfect for this project. And the little snowflakes just made it even better.

The glass jar was only $3.00.

You will need some twine or jute to wrap around the opening.

This spray adhesive works so great but you could use any glue or mod podge you have on hand.

I used faux snow.

If you have some grapevine that works well or some other vine or sticks that are kinda playable. You’ll also need some battery operated fairy lights.

First spray some of the adhesive into the bottom of the jar. Then dump a little faux snow in and swirl around to coat.

I then shoved half of the string of lights into the jar.

I then popped some vine in the globe. Sprayed a bit of adhesive and and sprinkled some snow in there.

I popped a small pine cone in and carefully put the rest of the lights in.

One more quick coat of adhesive and a sprinkle of snow.

Wrap some twine around the mouth of the jar and glue in place with hot glue.

There you have it. A simple yet beautiful addition to your winter decor 🤍🌲

I wish that there were links to the materials used so that I could purchase them online, my local Dollar General doesn't have these candy jars. Anyone have links to share with me so I can purchase them online?
