Corn Husk Fall Wreath for Only $7.00!

With only two items, you can create a simple yet unique fall wreath.
The two items are a straw wreath (I used a 16”) and corn husks which can be found at any grocery store in the ethnic food section.
You’ll also need hot glue and paint - if you choose to paint it.
1 - I began by covering entire wreath by wrapping husks around the wreath and hot gluing in place.
2 - I made the “petals” by folding husks in half and cutting them into a petal shape
3 - I used acrylic paint to paint the husks. I wanted some of them to be painted only on the tip so using a piece of cardboard, I made a template to paint around.
4 - I glued the first row of petals to the bottom of the wreath
5 - The second row is glued to the middle of the wreath. I carefully bent each husk and applied hot glue.
6 - Those husks are then glued to the middle of the wreath.
7 - For the third row, I bent the ends of the husks backwards and applied hot glue.
8 - Those petals were then applied to the inside of the wreath
9 - I flipped the wreath upside down and hot glued a piece of twine to the back as a hanger.
10 - I hung my wreath in my dining room to add to our festive Thanksgiving decorations.
