DIY Double Hoop Wreath

Since redoing my kitchen, I’ve been having so much fun decorating below my hood vent! I’ve had art here for a few months, but for the holidays, I thought a wreath would really be a nice change. The problem was that I couldn’t find one in the size or look that I wanted. Story of a crafty persons life! Am I right?!!
So let’s make one and while we are at it let’s make one that I’ve never seen in any store! A DOUBLE hoop wreath 😊
Step 1: Gather supplies! I got everything at Hobby Lobby for around $25. Take your faux cedar florals and wire cutters and cut off each little branch at the base.
Step 2: Attach the branch to the wire wreath frame using the floral wire. Just snip a 3” piece of floral wire with the wire cutters and make a “U” shape and from the front pass it through the wreath frame. On the backside, twist the two ends together with your fingers. Do this on all but the top arch of the wreath.
Step 3: Now that you have the faux cedar attached, you are going to cut off the inner and outer wire circles of the frame on the exposed portion.
Step 4: You now have the double hoop shape, but so it looks best I would either spray paint it gold or use a product called Rub n Buff just on the tip part if the exposed hoop. While you’re at it make the little seeds/berries pop and paint them gold too :)
Step 5: Add some pretty wire ribbon to the top middle and another sprig of cedar. Bonus if you have one with the berries that you can paint red or gold! You can attach it with gorilla fabric glue or a hot glue gun.
Step 6: Hang! I use a clear 3M hook on my tile backsplash and it holds it well!
