I Used Okra To Make Front Door Wreaths. Here’s What Happened!

Whenever I can I like to incorporate natural things into my home decor. The okra wreath was totally not my idea, but a sweet friend inspired me with her project. She had made a similar wreath from dried okra and she knew once I seen hers, I’d have to have one for my front door. 
Here's what you will need for this project.
- dried okra
- cardboard
- scissors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- sharpie marker
- dried acorns
I started off by making the backing of my wreath from a cardboard box. I cut the cardboard to the size I wanted for my wreath using my good Fiestaware and drawing a pattern with a sharpie marker. 
* No harm was done to the fiestaware in the making of this wreath.
After cutting out the cardboard, I began by carefully laying out the dried okra one layer at a time and securing it with my hot glue gun.
Here is what it looked like after all the dried okra was in place. I LIKE IT!
You could totally paint this if you wanted to add color. I liked the natural look.
Check out these little beauties! These are cup acorns from my Bur Oak Tree. Every Fall I harvest all I can find to make my home decor. The acorn inside the cup can be painted as well. Yep, I added these to the wreath securing them with hot glue as well.
