Raking in Fall Decor

Here's my latest project, a quick wreath using a rake! Here's how it came to be:
I had this interesting rake for quite some time. It had lost its original handle. Not much of a rake I can tell you, but it is unique. So, of course, I decided to make a Fall decoration with it.
Michael's and Hobby Lobby were having a great sale around Christmas with their Fall decor so I scooped up all of these on discount, yes!
Hmm, I needed a handle so I found this. I suppose it was going to go into the garden as a stake, but it fit up into the rake perfectly!
I needed some kind of bow or additional color. I started off with ribbon but it didn't look quite right. I found this in my Halloween stash.
So this is how it all came together. Looks great!
Complete with handle, but I suppose you could also use on a door without the handle. Super easy to put together with a few wires. I love it!
This works all the way through November!
Suggested materials:
  • Rake head, handle, raffia   (On hand)
  • Fall silk   (Michael's and Hobby Lobby)
