Summer Cotton Wreath
I've been seeing cotton wreaths all over the place, but they are a little expensive at $40+! I thought it'd be fun to make my own for half the price.
This wreath was really easy to make and I have gotten so many compliments on it.
How to Make a Summer Cotton Wreath:
The supplies for this project were pretty simple:
- Grapevine Wreath
- Cotton stakes (or whatever they are called)
- Drop Cloth Ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun
Take the cotton stakes and insert them into the grapevine wreath. They are pricey, so I used a smaller wreath for this and only did them on one side. I have seen the cotton in long strands, but my Hobby Lobby was out. That would work better if you want to wrap it around the entire diameter/front of the wreath!
I found this ribbon at Hobby Lobby that reminds me of a drop cloth type fabric! I just love it with the cotton. I went ahead and made this bow by hand. I really need to share a blog post on how to make an easy bow sometime.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial for a Summer Cotton Wreath! Be sure to check out my other wreaths on Hometalk, I am currently doing one new wreath a month for a 12 Months of Wreaths series with several other bloggers.
