Christmas Farmhouse Beads

Take a regular strand of farmhouse beads and add Christmas touches.
Start with a strand of farmhouse beads. You can check out my tutorial on how to make those here.
To add Christmas touches, I purchased 2 packages of ornament fill, which included matte ornaments and glitter styrofoam balls.
After playing around with all of my options, I decided to go with the green and golden matte ornaments.
To determine the spacing, I counted the beads on my strand, it is 63. Then I counted my ornaments (8) and added 1. {You need to add 1 because you don’t want to end with a bead on one end of the strand.}. Then you divide the number of beads by the number of ornaments plus on. In my case, it is 63 divided by 9 = 7.
I removed all of the beads from my strand, except for 7, then I added and ornament.
To make it easier to restring the beads, I added scotch tape to the end of the strings. This will help the string not fray and made restringing so much simpler.
I alternated adding 7 beads, then an ornament. Since I was only using 2 colors of ornaments, I alternated the color each time I added an ornament.
When I reached the end, I reattached the tassel and the farmhouse beads are now ready for Christmas. For more details, and some options other than ornaments to add Christmas cheer to farmhouse beads, check out my full blog post here.
Thanks for stopping by.
Merry Christmas!
