Christmas String Art

I have always loved the string art projects I have seen everywhere, but never actually made one myself. When I was asked to teach a Christmas Craft class I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try it out.
My criteria for a project included an inexpensive price, able to complete it in about an hour, and easy to find products. I love this project because it can be customized in so many ways for every season or decor style.

I made a prototype first, using a glitter spray paint on an mdf board. For the class itself I chose a more simple font and allowed the class members to choose their own colors.
Glitter yarn in black.
White crochet thread.
Someone cut their letters out and added lights.
