How to Give a Cheap Mirror an Expensive Weathered Wood Finish

by The Painted Drawer by Suzanne Bagheri
(IC: blogger)
I recently restyled my family room and was looking for a weathered wood mirror to hang over my sofa. They all cost about $200 which was over my budget. Instead, I took a mirror I already owned and created that weathered wood look I was going for!
I created a video tutorial on the project and linked it to the bottom of this post.

Here is a picture of a mirror pretty much like my original. It was purchased at a big-box store and had the standard, dark plastic frame. The mirror cost less than $40.
I used 3 different colors of chalk paint to achieve this look.
It's not as complicated as you think...
I love how it ties in with my newly painted walls.
I hope you all enjoy the video tutorial! It's a great and simple way to transform your decor without breaking the bank. Chalk paint is not cheap but once purchased, you can use it on many projects in your home. For more tutorials and decor tips, please check out my website, www.thepainteddrawer.com
