NO SEW Pillow BED!

4 Materials
40 Minutes

Here's a kid friendly DIY NO SEW pillow bed!

  • fleece fabric ( I share on the blog where I got my fabric )
  • 3 pillows ( medium size)
  • scissors
  • hot glue
  • chalk

We started off by marking the seams between the three pillows.

Hot glue the seams!

Than we applied a line of hotglue to secure the fabric together where we had marked the seams. The pillows will fit in between the seams. We were a bit iffy about using hotglue instead of sewing for this step however we did a small test and it's unbelievable how strong the seams were. You also don't feel the glue if you're worried about it drying stiff. The pillows are so fluffy if makes up for that.

Cutting Slits!

Next we cut slits on all 4 sides of the fabric. Since fleece doesn't fray we used the knotting method to secure the pillows inside the fabric.

This took about 30 minutes to complete. Super easy. I think the hardest part was tying the knots.

Here it is! We love how it turned out. He already took it a camping a few times.

Thanks for tuning in! I hope this inspires you to craft with your kiddos!

    Nice project!

Why did you glue the two long sides together if you had to slit them open later to remove the pillows for cleaning purposes?

How much fabric did you use? Did you fold it over? If you did, it would be easier to remove pillows from each section and only have to "tie" 3 sides.

For this pillow project do you put the fabric on both sides I've read it twice and don't see if you say you do.

One of the best projects I have seen on Hometalk! So cute!!

I just finished a tied Raiders blanket for my grandson. This would have been great in the Raiders material! Back to the fabric store!

Have made something similar, using pillowcases. Super easy & cute for grandkids by using their favorite cartoon characters
